Although Dr. Ivancev grew up in Moldova, he feels that he has always belonged here. There, he received his undergraduate degree. After serving in the military, he joined the Dental School at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania. While in the Dental School he met his wife, Mikhaela, a medical student and they got married right after graduation. He practiced general dentistry in Romania for a number of years prior to moving to the United States.
In 2006, he graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. In the same year he joined the office of Dr. James Hunt and Dr. David Piech as a Registered Dental Hygienist. While continuing to work at Hunt & Piech Dental, he passed the National Dental Boards and was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
In 2013 he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with cum laude in restorative dentistry and was the recipient of several awards in restorative dentistry as well.
After graduation, he joined the office of Dr. Hunt and Dr. Castenson as a general practice dentist. He holds a professional membership in the American Dental Association. Aside from spending time with his wife and 2 children, he enjoys gardening and wood working.
Dr. Ivancev is fluent in Romanian/Moldavian and Russian languages. He strongly believes in patient education and treatment plans tailored to the needs of each individual patient.
